This pattern is from a recent American Patchwork and Quilting (Sampler) issue. The quilt is 58" X 73" and made from Aboriginal fabrics, red tone-on-tone and cream homespun. It was well received by the Patchworker group members,
I also took it to church where some members had asked to see it. One friend wanted to buy it but hadn't told me, so I offered to make a second one, currently 2/3 completed. Somehow the copy has been more difficult than the first one!TrishJhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11704288098740746329noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4750627779229630860.post-13588166561547496652020-02-18T01:16:00.004-08:002020-05-31T01:46:59.047-07:00Angels

I found this pattern in American Patchwork and quilting. The fabrics had a slub and were similar to Thai silk, but they were cotton. I had a few headaches matching the pieces It was an UFO for a few years but I finally finished it this January., 2020
I don't think I have posted this quilt yet. It has a nautical theme with children on a beach and footsteps (of an adult and a baby) in the sand.TrishJhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11704288098740746329noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4750627779229630860.post-12541879491586392922019-05-21T01:55:00.002-07:002019-09-21T21:00:04.242-07:00Lego

This is the start of my tumbling blocks project. It has been going for so long it is almost a UFO. This photo was taken in 2013. I will take another soon to show the 'progress' I have made. It has been rearranged into rows of each colour, all hand sewn..

Hooray, I found a new file that hasn't been published. This quilt has a Nautical theme.
There is still more material left, so I will make another one when I catch up.TrishJhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11704288098740746329noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4750627779229630860.post-49178566067003139892019-04-23T02:39:00.001-07:002019-04-23T02:39:42.673-07:00
Well, Easter has past and the days are getting colder, but still so little rain. My sewing room has a camelia tree and a big monstera outside the window so the room is quite dark.

I have put my big quilt aside and have been making cot quilts, completing two and there are some blocks ready for a third one. There doesn't seem to be much impression on my stash though. When I visited the Craft show earlier this month I bought a few fat quarters for childrens' quilts and some more rotary blades.TrishJhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11704288098740746329noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4750627779229630860.post-35009170187460241362019-03-24T01:28:00.003-07:002019-03-31T22:37:07.373-07:00UFOsI have not had any visitors to my Blog for years, at least no-one left a message.
Seems a little lonely. Where are all my followers?
UFOs
The list at the bottom of the page was compiled years ago. Sadly none of these projects have been completed.

I have realised how projects become UFOs. I am always looking for new projects to start on. There are mountains of magazines that are regularly read and reread, looking for a unique pattern. I call this reading research, so I don't get guilty about using all that time for reading and not sewing.. Most of the patterns are altered because of my stash and the size of project that has been decided on. Often there are at least three quilt tops at various stages of completion.
Three or four years ago I joined an association that donates quilts of all sizes to various charities. I donate some of my magazines as often as I can. And sometimes take as many as three quilt tops per month to be quilted by those clever ladies who can quilt.TrishJhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11704288098740746329noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4750627779229630860.post-21822187346004303592019-02-10T20:31:00.000-08:002019-02-10T20:31:07.996-08:00Nautical row quilt

I made this quilt with a forum I used to belong to. Each member did a different row. It was my favorite. It was on the bed in the spare bedroom. But it has disappeared. Possibly went home with one of our international students. We have searched the house many times but have not found it.TrishJhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11704288098740746329noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4750627779229630860.post-55695811543863185852019-01-31T00:12:00.005-08:002019-03-31T22:38:57.063-07:00Eye-spy with a difference
